4. What are the major functions of the Redeemer Church Planting Center (RCPC)?
- Research.
Through the cooperation of other agencies, mission groups and churches the Center will conduct both demographics and ethnographics in order to determine where to plant churches and what approach to use.
- Building different models.
Through research and creative pioneering efforts, the Center will build different models of church planting that are contextualized to different groups and areas.
- Assessment.
"Assessment" refers to the process by which prospective leaders are evaluated on skills and gifts for church planting in various kinds of urban settings.
- Supervision.
This includes helping a church design a model and strategy for ministry that fits the community as well as on-going support and accountability.
- Training.
This consists of both pre-service and in-service instruction and mentoring.
- Funding.
A budget will be developed for each project and the Center will assist in acquiring the finances to develop the new church.
