Welcome to this special edition of the movement newsletter designed to update the Redeemer Community about our vision to renew cities around the world through church planting. The movement is a bi-monthly publication of the Redeemer Church Planting Center. To read more about the Center click on our links above or watch our new video.

Each of the articles on our global church planting projects contained in this issue have appeared in prior issues of the movement during the last year but in some cases have been shortened for broader use. We hope these stories will renew your hope in the gospel as you read about what God is doing through these new churches.

INFINITY CHURCH : THE GOSPEL IN THE 'HOOD
Making the Gospel Relevant
By Audrey Lee with Dimas Salaberrios

It's easy to think about stereotypes of the inner-city on this block. It's all here - complete with the drug deals, crime scenes, sex, broken families, poverty and even dueling gangs, the Bloods and the Crips, in opposition over a few feet of space. It is these people that church planter Dimas Salaberrios is seeking to reach. "I have a heart to see change in this generation," he says. "They're looking for family, acceptance and love. And they get excited, happy when they see us, because of the activities and involvement we have in the kids' lives. Then we can teach the Gospel in a language that they'll understand." > MORE

"SO, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO START WORSHIP?"
By Matthew Brown, Church Planter, Park Slope Presbyterian Church

Every church planter faces the inevitable question from core group members, supporters and other interested parties, "So when are you going to start worship?" In the meantime, I have faced that very question more times than I care to remember and though it was always asked with genuine concern and hope, I heard people accusing me of being lazy and disorganized. > MORE

Glenn Hoburg is the pastor of Grace DC, a new church plant in Washington, DC. The movement caught up with him one afternoon to find out about this new church, its ministries and how God is working in the Washington, DC, community. > MORE

BERLINPROJEKT: YOUNG CHURCH IN THE CITY
By Audrey Lee with Christian Nowatzky

To Church Planter Christian Nowatzky, Junge Kirche in der Stadt ("Young Church in the City") is more than just a tag-line for the new Berlinprojekt church plant. It is a vision that he believes will make a difference in one of the most influential cities in Europe. > MORE

IT'S BEEN A LONG, STRANGE, GRACE-FULL TRIP
By Andrew Jones, Church Planter, Grace Church, Hackney

Grace Church, Hackney in London began worship services on April 18, 2004. Church planter Andrew Jones discusses issues in his newborn congregation at that time. > MORE
